Welcome to the Frugal Fireman. My name is Dan Fernandez. I am a firefighter, small business owner, real estate investor, author, fitness advocate, husband and father of two amazing kids. I run a party rentals business in the Virginia Beach, VA area. My company, Life of the Party, specializes in Margarita Machines. I am also partnered in a Vending Machine Business and Alive on Arrival.

My passion is health and it comes from years of being obese, in poor health, and lacking direction. Throughout my personal quest for improvement, I’ve dug into books, used myself as a human experiments and sought and listened to advice from books, podcasts and mentors. Many of the mindset principles related to goals (financial or otherwise) have been distilled into some of the lessons found in my book, How Frugal Frank Got What He Wanted.
